Beckenham 29 ? Sidcup 15.
FIVE TRY BLITZ KEEPS BECKENHAM IN WITH A CHANCE OF 3rd PLACE FINISH
This was one of those occasions where the side that played all the rugby triumphed. Beckenham?s free running and 15 man game overcame a Sidcup outfit intent on only using their heavy lumbering forwards to control proceedings, by slowing the game at every opportunity. Ultimately this forward game was, in the main, very easy to defend for the home side and Sidcup were unfortunately devoid of any pace, creativity or ideas outside of their pack.
Beckenham, spent much of the game under pressure at set pieces, but their play outside of scrum and lineout was far pacier, more inventive and more incisive with Leigh Woodcock , Andy Glason and Reggie Rayner causing Sidcup problems with ball in hand throughout. This added pace and skill in the back line made it a comfortable victory for the home side.
